2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Gets Optional Integrated Winch

For the first time ever, Ford is offering an optional integrated electric winch on the Ford Super Duty when equipped with the Tremor Off-Road Package. The heavy-duty winch was developed in cooperation with industry-leader Warn to ensure it met Ford’s tough standards.

Offered through Ford Performance Parts, the integrated winch features a 12,000 pound capacity and is available as either a factory-orderable option or a dealer-installed accessory. Both gasoline and diesel-powered Ford Super Duty Tremor trucks can be ordered with the integrated winch.

Unlike many aftermarket winch options, Ford has mounted the winch behind the steel bumper so it does not affect crash safety or airflow to the engine. The extra-strong synthetic cable is made to withstand continued use pulling out other vehicles, moving obstacles stuck in your path or helping to get over difficult terrain.

A wireless remote is included, and a wired remote can be added. Available starting in mid-2020, the Ford Performance Parts winch by Warn has an MSRP of $3,000. Give us a call at Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston, TX for more details.

With the ability to tow up to 21,900 pounds when properly equipped, the Ford Super Duty is easily one of the most capable trucks on the road today. Check out our online inventory to view our selection of Ford Super Duty heavy-duty pickup trucks for sale or lease.

2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Fuel Economy

The all-new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid gets a best-in-class combined fuel economy rating of 41 mpg for front-wheel drive models, according to estimates from the EPA. With such incredible fuel economy, the new Escape Hybrid has an EPA-estimated range of 582 miles per tank, meaning you can stop for gas less often.

To ensure there was still enough room for passengers and cargo, Ford has smartly placed the liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery underneath the second-row seats, rather than taking up lots of space in the cargo area. Lots of space and long driving range make the 2020 Ford Escape the perfect road trip vehicle.

The available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster features an EV coach that lets drivers know if they are using electric or hybrid power, and encourages drivers to adjust their driving style to save fuel depending on their current power needs. Five selectable driving modes help conserve fuel as well, allowing drivers to put the Escape into an eco mode when they don’t require extra power.

Ford was the first automaker to offer a hybrid SUV when the original Escape Hybrid debuted in 2004. The first generation Escape Hybrid proved to be very popular, and owners have been asking for it to make a return. Ford has answered with a revolutionary new Escape Hybrid that offers better efficiency and more features than ever before.

The All-New 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid

Stopping for gas too often on a road trip can be annoying and add extra time to any journey. Ford is hoping to reduce how much you need to stop and fill up with the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid, which offers over 500-miles of EPA-estimated range when equipped with rear-wheel drive.

Extended driving range means you can drive from New York City to Washington D.C. or Los Angeles to Las Vegas without needing to ever stop for gas. And with improved fuel economy compared to other Explorer models, you’ll be saving money on fuel as well.

“Explorer is the ultimate family adventure vehicle – and fewer pit stops is one of the latest reasons why,” said Bill Gubing, Explorer chief engineer. “Explorer provides space for the whole family and their gear, it’s got great towing capability, and now it has range like no Explorer before.”

The EPA estimates the fuel economy for the rear-wheel-drive Explorer Limited Hybrid to be 27 mpg city/29 mpg highway/28mpg combined, and the four-wheel-drive version to be 23 mpg city/26 mpg highway/25 mpg combined. The four-wheel-drive Explorer Hybrid has an estimated 450+ miles of range.

You also don’t have to compromise on capability with the Explorer Limited Hybrid, as it can tow up to 5,000 pounds (the same as a 2019 Explorer with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine). That is 1,500 pounds more than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and more than many other popular Hybrid SUVs.
