The All-New 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid
Stopping for gas too often on a road trip can be annoying and add extra time to any journey. Ford is hoping to reduce how much you need to stop and fill up with the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid, which offers over 500-miles of EPA-estimated range when equipped with rear-wheel drive.
Extended driving range means you can drive from New York City to Washington D.C. or Los Angeles to Las Vegas without needing to ever stop for gas. And with improved fuel economy compared to other Explorer models, you’ll be saving money on fuel as well.
“Explorer is the ultimate family adventure vehicle – and fewer pit stops is one of the latest reasons why,” said Bill Gubing, Explorer chief engineer. “Explorer provides space for the whole family and their gear, it’s got great towing capability, and now it has range like no Explorer before.”
The EPA estimates the fuel economy for the rear-wheel-drive Explorer Limited Hybrid to be 27 mpg city/29 mpg highway/28mpg combined, and the four-wheel-drive version to be 23 mpg city/26 mpg highway/25 mpg combined. The four-wheel-drive Explorer Hybrid has an estimated 450+ miles of range.
You also don’t have to compromise on capability with the Explorer Limited Hybrid, as it can tow up to 5,000 pounds (the same as a 2019 Explorer with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine). That is 1,500 pounds more than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and more than many other popular Hybrid SUVs.

2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is the most powerful street-legal Ford vehicle ever, thanks to a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing more than 700 horsepower. This makes the new GT500 capable of getting to 60 mph in the mid-three second range and passing the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds.
Straight-line performance is impressive, but the Mustang Shelby GT500 also features a race-bred chassis, custom Michelin tires, massive front brakes and an aerodynamic design for better handling. Ford Performance driver control technologies also give drivers more customization from behind the wheel, further enhancing the GT500’s performance.
Built by hand, the 5.2-liter aluminum alloy V8 is impressive on its own, but Ford engineers added a 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger and air-to-liquid intercooler for even more power. Power goes through a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for lightning-fast shifts, and then through a custom carbon fiber driveshaft for strength and weight savings.
The GT500’s larger grille opening allows for 50 percent more airflow compared to the GT350, and the louvered hood vent features a removable aluminum rain tray for improved air extraction and increased downforce. The wider front fenders give the car a nice stance and hug the 11-inch wide front and 11.5-inch wide rear wheels.
Of course, the interior has been upgraded as well, with race-inspired premium materials throughout the purpose-built cockpit. Recaro racing seats are available with pass-throughs for safety harnesses as well. A 12-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster, 12-speaker B&O Play audio system and 8-inch SYNC 3 touch screen are all standard on the 2020 Mustang GT500.

2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package
For truck owners who want even more off-road capability for their heavy-truck, Ford is offering the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty with an all-new Tremor Off-Road Package. This new package allows the Super Duty to handle all kinds of rough terrain, while still providing more towing and payload capacity than competitors like the Ram Power Wagon.
“A growing number of Super Duty customers use their trucks for more than work,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “They’re fishing, camping and towing boats on weekends and the go off-road, so we designed this truck specifically for them.”
The Super Duty with the Tremor Off-Road Package gives drivers more ground clearance, as well as bigger shocks, bigger tires, a locking rear differential, beefy skid plates and more off-road capability. All of these off-road ready upgrades don’t hurt towing and payload ratings for the Super Duty either, so you can still do all of the work you need.
The Tremor Off-Road Package is available for F-250 and F-350 models, and can be had in XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trim levels. Engine options are either a 7.3-liter gas V8 or a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel. All Tremor Super Duty trucks are 4×4 single-rear-wheel models with the SuperCrew cab and 6.75-foot box.
Selectable drive modes give customers more options depending on weather and road conditions, and include normal, tow/haul, eco, slippery for ice and deep snow/sand for low traction conditions. The 2020 Super Duty with the Tremor Off-Road Package also gets a standard 10-speed automatic transmission and Trail Control.
