For all the off-road enthusiasts out there, Ford is offering three new off-road ready performance accessory packages for the midsize Ranger pickup truck. These packages are designed to give the Ranger even more personalization options and capability, letting drivers have even more fun when driving off-road.

These three comprehensive Ford Performance accessory packages can be installed by Tommie Vaughn Ford on 2019 and 2020 4WD Ranger models, and use parts from the established Ford-performance experts at FOX Shocks among others.

The Ford Performance Level 1 package features an off-road leveling kit, FOX performance shocks tuned by Ford Performance Engineers, 17-inch Dyno Gray wheels and Ford Performance bedside graphics and windshield banner. Cost is $2,495 before installation.

The Level 2 performance packages has all Level 1 content, as well as a Ford Performance engine calibration, bringing the EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine up to 315 hp and 370 lb.-ft. of torque, BFGoodrich KO2 tires, a Rigid off-road fog light kit, blue tow hooks and a stainless steel license plate frame. Price is $4,495 before installation.

Those looking to get the most out of their Ranger off-road should look at Level 3, which comes with all Level 1 and 2 content, plus a Rigid 40-inch LED lightbar kit, red tow hooks, an ARB winch-capable front bumper, Ford Performance chase rack and Ford Performance sport exhaust. 2019 Ford Edge an IIHS Top Safety Pick

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the redesigned 2019 Ford Edge a Top Safety Pick after it received “good” ratings in all six of the areas tested. Standard safety features like Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking have also proved effective in avoiding frontal collisions at speeds under 25 mph.

Several different aspects of the vehicle are tested by the IIHS, including body structure, crash prevention features, safety restraints and headlight design. Each item tested contributes to the overall safety of a vehicle, and the Ford Edge with available LED projector headlamps with curve-adaptive technology did very well in all tests.

Ford has made Co-Pilot360 standard on all Ford Edge models, which gives drivers more confidence on the road with a suite of active safety features. The IIHS has rated the Edge’s front crash prevention technology as “superior for its ability to react to an imminent crash with another vehicle.”

Ford Ranger Customizations at SEMA 2019

The all-new Ford Ranger will be showcased by Ford at the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association show this year. Several heavily customized Ranger pickup trucks will be on display demonstrating the wide variety of ways owners can choose to customize their trucks.

Some of the most popular upgrades Ranger owners perform are suspension lifts and larger, off-road ready tires, but father and son design team Neil and Collin Tjin went in a completely different direction. Their 2019 Ford Ranger Tjin Edition has been lowered eight inches in the front and nine inches in the rear with 20-inch custom wheels, has a long list of performance upgrades and features some custom body modifications.

Yakima, a Ford Accessories partner, has also customized a 2019 Ford Ranger for the 2019 SEMA show. Their Ranger is built for those who love the great outdoors and has Ford Performance Parts components like a Fox tuned off-road suspension and a cat-back exhaust. Custom bumpers, side steps, lighting and wheels complete the package, along with a Warn winch and Yakima bike and kayak carriers that are available through Ford Accessories.

Ford Performance Parts customized a ranger with a number of accessories designed for overlanding, helping Ranger owners go on some amazing adventures. Unique features include a heavy-duty recovery kit, red tow hooks, a Tepui HyBozx rooftop tent, Decked truck bed storage system, an ARB Elements refrigerator/freezer and enough Rigid lights to handle any situation.

Ford Reintroduces Expedition King Ranch Edition

Ford Expedition buyers have a lot to look forward to this year, as Ford is reintroducing the premium Expedition King Ranch edition and upgrading the existing Platinum model with new materials and finishes. The new Expedition has proven to be a hit with SUV buyers, thanks to its good looks, luxurious and spacious interior, powerful EcoBoost engine and incredible capability.

More than half of Expedition buyers opt for the luxurious Platinum and Limited trim levels when purchasing their vehicle, and the King Ranch edition will give them another choice when buying a luxury SUV.

“The King Ranch name carries with it a legacy of hard work that defines the American ranching lifestyle, with the heritage and family traditions Ford Expedition represents,” said Andrew Kernahan, Expedition chief engineer. “It’s a great addition to the lineup, growing Expedition’s appeal and personality in Texas as well as with customers across the U.S. looking for western-inspired style and timeless design.”

The King Ranch Expedition features unique styling, including Elegant Stone Gray paint on the grille, power running boards, two-tone bumpers, a rear skid plate, 22-inch six-spoke wheels and distinctive King Ranch badging throughout. Inside there is Ebony Del Rio leather covering numerous trim pieces, along with Ziricote wood veneer.

Like many other Expedition models, the King Ranch edition comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist technology, which includes a number of convenient safety features. FordPass Connect and SYNC 3 technology is also standard, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
