Ford Explorer XLT Sport Appearance Package New for 2021

The ever-popular Ford Explorer SUV celebrates its 30th anniversary this year as it continues to be one of the best selling SUVs in the United States. Redesigned from the ground up for the 2020 model year with a rear-wheel drive platform, the 2021 Ford Explorer gets even more features, including the new XLT Sport Appearance Package.

Arriving this summer at Tommie Vaughn Ford, the 2021 Ford Explorer with the XLT Sport Appearance Package receives unique Carbonized Gray 20-inch wheels along with a matching grille, skid plates and hood lettering. Dual chrome exhaust tips have also been included to complete the sporty look of the Explorer.

Interior details include ActiveX Light Slate two-tone seats with accent stitching, and matching center console lid and door trim panels. When the Sport Appearance Package has been offered in previous years, it typically accounted for one-quarter of Explorer XLT sales.

Ford has also seen one in five Explorer buyers picking the Ford Explorer ST, with many people trading in their luxury vehicles from other brands. The 400-horsepower Explorer ST was designed with performance enthusiasts in mind, and offers incredible power and handling not seen in a Ford Explorer previously.
