Ford Ranger Customizations at SEMA 2019

The all-new Ford Ranger will be showcased by Ford at the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association show this year. Several heavily customized Ranger pickup trucks will be on display demonstrating the wide variety of ways owners can choose to customize their trucks.

Some of the most popular upgrades Ranger owners perform are suspension lifts and larger, off-road ready tires, but father and son design team Neil and Collin Tjin went in a completely different direction. Their 2019 Ford Ranger Tjin Edition has been lowered eight inches in the front and nine inches in the rear with 20-inch custom wheels, has a long list of performance upgrades and features some custom body modifications.

Yakima, a Ford Accessories partner, has also customized a 2019 Ford Ranger for the 2019 SEMA show. Their Ranger is built for those who love the great outdoors and has Ford Performance Parts components like a Fox tuned off-road suspension and a cat-back exhaust. Custom bumpers, side steps, lighting and wheels complete the package, along with a Warn winch and Yakima bike and kayak carriers that are available through Ford Accessories.

Ford Performance Parts customized a ranger with a number of accessories designed for overlanding, helping Ranger owners go on some amazing adventures. Unique features include a heavy-duty recovery kit, red tow hooks, a Tepui HyBozx rooftop tent, Decked truck bed storage system, an ARB Elements refrigerator/freezer and enough Rigid lights to handle any situation.

New Ford Ranger and F-150 Performance Off-Road Suspension

Ford truck customers looking for even better off-road capability from their F-150 or Ranger can now buy after-purchase leveling kits from Ford Performance Parts. This is the first time Ford has offered a package like this, which includes custom-tuned FOX shocks, a 2-inch front lift, new front coilovers and vehicle-specific upper front mounts and locking spring pre-load rings.

“Ford Performance Parts developed these kits to make the off-road experience even better for our Ranger and F-150 customers,” said Eric Cin, global director of Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories. “Truck customers are asking for options for increased capability and customization, and the new leveling suspension kits for Ranger and F-150 deliver on that need.”

Once installed, these suspension kits improve ground clearance, approach and breakover angles and give the truck a more level and lifted appearance. The kits were developed and tested by Ford Performance engineers in Borrego, California and in Arizona, which included high-speed off-road driving and low-speed rock-crawling.

These new off-road suspension kits can be installed on any four-wheel-drive 2019 Ranger or 2015-2019 F-150 and come with a Ford Performance Parts limited warranty. They are available to order through Tommie Vaughn Ford and can be installed by our expert service technicians. Contact us today for details and pricing.
