New Ford Ranger and F-150 Performance Off-Road Suspension
Ford truck customers looking for even better off-road capability from their F-150 or Ranger can now buy after-purchase leveling kits from Ford Performance Parts. This is the first time Ford has offered a package like this, which includes custom-tuned FOX shocks, a 2-inch front lift, new front coilovers and vehicle-specific upper front mounts and locking spring pre-load rings.
“Ford Performance Parts developed these kits to make the off-road experience even better for our Ranger and F-150 customers,” said Eric Cin, global director of Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories. “Truck customers are asking for options for increased capability and customization, and the new leveling suspension kits for Ranger and F-150 deliver on that need.”
Once installed, these suspension kits improve ground clearance, approach and breakover angles and give the truck a more level and lifted appearance. The kits were developed and tested by Ford Performance engineers in Borrego, California and in Arizona, which included high-speed off-road driving and low-speed rock-crawling.
These new off-road suspension kits can be installed on any four-wheel-drive 2019 Ranger or 2015-2019 F-150 and come with a Ford Performance Parts limited warranty. They are available to order through Tommie Vaughn Ford and can be installed by our expert service technicians. Contact us today for details and pricing.

2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is the most powerful street-legal Ford vehicle ever, thanks to a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing more than 700 horsepower. This makes the new GT500 capable of getting to 60 mph in the mid-three second range and passing the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds.
Straight-line performance is impressive, but the Mustang Shelby GT500 also features a race-bred chassis, custom Michelin tires, massive front brakes and an aerodynamic design for better handling. Ford Performance driver control technologies also give drivers more customization from behind the wheel, further enhancing the GT500’s performance.
Built by hand, the 5.2-liter aluminum alloy V8 is impressive on its own, but Ford engineers added a 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger and air-to-liquid intercooler for even more power. Power goes through a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for lightning-fast shifts, and then through a custom carbon fiber driveshaft for strength and weight savings.
The GT500’s larger grille opening allows for 50 percent more airflow compared to the GT350, and the louvered hood vent features a removable aluminum rain tray for improved air extraction and increased downforce. The wider front fenders give the car a nice stance and hug the 11-inch wide front and 11.5-inch wide rear wheels.
Of course, the interior has been upgraded as well, with race-inspired premium materials throughout the purpose-built cockpit. Recaro racing seats are available with pass-throughs for safety harnesses as well. A 12-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster, 12-speaker B&O Play audio system and 8-inch SYNC 3 touch screen are all standard on the 2020 Mustang GT500.

2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Gets New Performance Package
An all new 2.3L High Performance Package is available for the 2020 Ford Mustang, bringing new levels of performance to EcoBoost-powered Mustangs. Delivering a projected 330 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, this new Mustang is the most powerful four-cylinder sports car offered by an American automaker.
The upgrades don’t stop at the engine though, as the 2.3L High Performance Package adds Mustang GT brakes and the aerodynamics and suspension components from the Mustang GT Performance Package. These additions make this Mustang outperform any other production four-cylinder Mustang in the car’s 55-year history.
This new EcoBoost engine variant was designed specifically for use in the Mustang and features a larger turbocharger and a larger radiator. It is available with either the 10-speed SelectShift automatic, or the 6-speed Getrag manual transmission.
The 0-60 time has been improved significantly, and the 2020 Mustang with the 2.3L High Performance Package will hit that number in the mid-four-second range when running on premium fuel. The top speed has also increased to 155 mph, a huge 34 mph leap over the base EcoBoost Mustang.
Those who take their car on the track will appreciate the performance-tuned steering and suspension, as well as the larger and more powerful brakes. There are also 19-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in wide summer tires in select packages.
