2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Fuel Economy
The all-new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid gets a best-in-class combined fuel economy rating of 41 mpg for front-wheel drive models, according to estimates from the EPA. With such incredible fuel economy, the new Escape Hybrid has an EPA-estimated range of 582 miles per tank, meaning you can stop for gas less often.
To ensure there was still enough room for passengers and cargo, Ford has smartly placed the liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery underneath the second-row seats, rather than taking up lots of space in the cargo area. Lots of space and long driving range make the 2020 Ford Escape the perfect road trip vehicle.
The available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster features an EV coach that lets drivers know if they are using electric or hybrid power, and encourages drivers to adjust their driving style to save fuel depending on their current power needs. Five selectable driving modes help conserve fuel as well, allowing drivers to put the Escape into an eco mode when they don’t require extra power.
Ford was the first automaker to offer a hybrid SUV when the original Escape Hybrid debuted in 2004. The first generation Escape Hybrid proved to be very popular, and owners have been asking for it to make a return. Ford has answered with a revolutionary new Escape Hybrid that offers better efficiency and more features than ever before.

Ford Completely Reinvents the 2020 Escape
Redesigned from the ground up, the 2020 Ford Escape is the latest in a line of completely reinvented SUVs from Ford. The all-new Escape is sportier than ever before, with a sleek new design, four efficient powertrain options and standard selectable drive modes.
The 2020 Ford Escape is built for the long haul, with each of its available powertrain options offering at least 400 miles per tank of EPA-estimated driving range. If you want even more miles per gallon, the all-new Escape Hybrid and Escape Plug-in Hybrid will offer over 550 miles of extended range.
With influence from high-performance Ford models like the Mustang and Ford GT, the 2020 Escape is one of the most stylish SUVs Ford has ever designed. The new Escape is longer, lower and wider than the current model, giving it a purposeful stance, and the optimized aerodynamic design helps with fuel economy and wind noise.
Like other Ford vehicles, the new Escape is lighter than the previous model with over 200 pounds in weight savings. By using high-strength, lightweight steel and new ultra-high-strength 3D-rolled tubes along the roofline, the new Escape is stronger than ever. Aluminum components like the hood and certain suspension components also help lower the weight.
Useful features like a sliding second-row seat and Active Park Assist 2.0 are unique in the small SUV segment and make the 2020 Escape even better than before. Smart technology like FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi, SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Waze navigation and Ford+Alexa make the new Escape one of the most connected vehicles on the road.
