FordPass Connect Features Now Complimentary
Ford is now the first full-line automaker to offer remote vehicle features to its customers free of charge as part of FordPass, powered by FordPass Connect. All trial subscriptions have been eliminated and owners can take advantage of these convenient features for free.
FordPass allows Ford owners to start, stop, lock and unlock their vehicles remotely, as well as schedule maintenance at participating dealers and chat with Ford Guides to get more information about their vehicles. The service was previously available as a one, two or five-year subscription, but is now free.
As part of FordPass, Ford is also making its FordPass Rewards program available as complimentary. Members of the loyalty program can earn points which can be redeemed for complimentary maintenance with the purchase or lease of a new Ford vehicle. Points are earned by spending money on service at your local Ford dealership like Tommie Vaughn Ford.
Services like the 911 Assist system continue to be free as part of SYNC, and are not tied to whether you use FordPass or not. The system pairs with your phone and can automatically contact 911 services and provide GPS information if an airbag deploys.
There are more than 1.5 million active users of FordPass, and with the service now becoming free, that number is expected to grow even faster. You can download the FordPass App for free in the App Store or Google Play.
If you have any questions about the FordPass features that are built in to your Ford vehicle, please contact us at Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston, Texas.
